Its been a busy busy week with the planning of the cookbook. We are finalising the recipe list and costing it all up. When I have my little day dreams of owning my own bakery it never involves hundreds of word documents and excel spreadsheets, I can tell you!

This week I met with some of the customers of Focus Ireland’s cookery courses. We are planning to run two baking workshops over the month of August, where we will bake the recipes they have chosen and take lots of photos to include in the book. I think its really important to showcase all the new skills they have learned throughout their course.

This evening is the first test run of the photographer (my mate Niall!). I am going to bake some tasty treats and we will play around with props and lighting to see what works. A bit of sunshine would really help right now

Dylan is working hard on some cool graphics and artwork, and tomorrow we should have all the boring paperwork out of the way and get down to some serious baking, the best bit! There are loads of lovely yummy cakes, and some tasty savouries too – I’m sure I will get some willing tasters on board….

We will post up some photos of the first dish later tonight hopefully so stay tuned
