[New Post] Focus Ireland Baking Book

Hello and welcome to my new blog!

Recently some friends of mine were undertaking a big fundraising effort to help Irish charity Focus Ireland, by doing the ‘Four Peaks Challenge’ – climbing the 4 highest mountains in Ireland in 72 hours! They had to do some mega fundraising for the challenge, and while having a brain storming session (in the pub ) we came up with the idea of producing a baking book.

Having been a keen baker and learning to decorate cakes over the last few years, I love the feeling of accomplishment of making something from scratch. So I wanted to produce a book that will benefit Focus Ireland’s work but also help those of you out there who might be put off by the thoughts of baking, to learn how easy and simple it can be!

We have been working on the idea for the last few months and recently ran a competition on Focus Ireland’s Facebook page to select some of the recipes for the book. The response was brilliant and we are now working hard on collating the recipes, and getting ready to start producing and photographing the recipes for the final product.

I hope to use this blog to keep you updated on how its all going!
